2008: Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches in computer vision (HDR, required in France for full professor position), Université de Lorraine.  

1994: PhD. in Computer Vision, Université de Strasbourg (formerly Université Louis Pasteur de Strasbourg).

1989: Master in science, signal processing and electronics, Université de Strasbourg, 

 

Professional experience

2009 – until now: full professor at the University of Lorraine, Nancy, France.

  • Research : Centre de Recherche en Automatique de Nancy (CRAN UMR 7039 CNRS/University of Lorraine
  • Research topic: medical image processing, image segmentation, data registration, 3-D reconstruction
  • Teaching: signal processing lectures at the European Engineer School of Material Science of Nancy (EEIGM).

1999-2009: associate professor (maître de conférences) at the University of Lorraine, Nancy, France.

1995-1999: full time researcher at the institute of applied mathematics of Kaiserslautern, Germany (Fraunhofer Institut für Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik, ITWM).

  • Research topic: industrial computer vision.
  • Scientific head of projects with industry.

1990-1994: PhD student (3 years) and temporary contract researcher (1 year) at the iCube laboratory (formerly LSIIT) of Strasbourg, University of Strasbourg (UdS) .
