Mayank Shekhar JHA

Dr. Mayank Shekhar Jha is Associate Professor at École Polytechnique de l'Université de Lorraine (Polytech Nancy) and researcher at CRAN, a joint research unit between the University of Lorraine and the French National Scientific Research Center (CNRS) since 2018. He obtained PhD in 2015 at Ecole Centrale de Lille in France and has previously held post-doctoral research position at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Toulouse (INSA Toulouse) France and Research Associate position at Rolls Royce Technology Centre at University of Sheffield, United Kingdom in 2017.
Dr. Jha currently co-supervises (co-director) of THREE PhD Thesis (on-going) and ONE postdoctoral research project (on-going) on the topics: safe reinforcement learning,
deep learning based prognostics as well as health aware control.
Dr. Jha is Co-PI (Co-Principle Investigator) of several industrially funded scientific projects in collaboration with the French Space Agency (CNES) and Dassault Aviation.
Dr. Jha has been co-organizer of an invited session/track at IFAC World Congress 2023, IPC Chair of 16th European Workshop on Advanced Control and Diagnosis (ACD 2022),
Workshop and Tutorials Chair for 28th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED'2020) Publicity chair for 5th International Conference on Control and Fault-Tolerant Systems (SySTOL), 2021.
Dr. Jha’s current research interests include Deep Learning based prognostics, safe reinforcement learning for dynamical systems under degradation as well as Physics informed neural networks for complex systems.
